Charter Statement

GREEN EARTH SINGLES, originally established in 1978 by John Hudick, is a Nevada nonprofit corporation whose sole purpose is to publish the Green Earth Singles newsletter as a way of extending invitations to single adults to privately sponsored outdoor events and social gatherings. Volunteers serve as officers and directors of the nonprofit corporation, which has no "members" or dues, and simply charges enough for subscriptions to the newsletter to cover its expenses. There is no general "group" political philosophy or involvement in community issues. None of the events is to be construed as open to the public. Every host/hostess reserves the right to restrict attendance by whatever criteria he/she may elect. Guests attend understanding that EACH AND EVERY PARTICIPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS/HER OWN CONDUCT AND SAFETY.

GREEN EARTH SINGLES events are open to RESPONSIBLE ADULTS WHO:

	UNDERSTAND AND RESPECT CONFIDENTIALITY by not sharing a subscriber's personal information, such as name, address, phone number and email address, with any individual or organization outside of GES without explicit permission of the subscriber.
	UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE of a "NO HUSTLE, NO HASSLE" environment free from pressure or harassment.
	SHARE IN THE BELIEF that excessive drinking and use of drugs will not be tolerated at any activity.
	CONTRIBUTE THEIR SHARE towards food, beverages, transportation, preparation, and cleanup for each event.

The GREEN EARTH SINGLES NEWSLETTER is used by individual hosts/hostesses to announce private events. Subscribers are generally welcome at any GES-sponsored event, and may contact the host for information regarding location or other questions. Usually the write-up will indicate what guests are expected to contribute, such as potluck items to share. When RSVPs are requested, those interested in attending are urged to respond. Guests are reminded that only by continuing to show respect for the efforts and private property of the host will the GREEN EARTH SINGLES format continue to be successful. The on-going vitality of GREEN EARTH SINGLES is due to the spontaneity of its unstructured format and its continuing ability to attract good-hearted, responsible people who share respect for the natural environment and a caring concern for one another.

The theme of GREEN EARTH SINGLES is congenial enjoyment of a wide variety of activities that provide an easy way to make lasting friends from among people of diverse interests and age groups. GREEN EARTH SINGLES events are as varied as the people who sponsor them.
